Virtue and MDV

I found it strange that one’s virtue has no direct relationship to defend against Mental Attacks.

If Children is not a person’s Intimacy or part of his Motivation.

The Mental Influence to murder children has the same difficulty between Person with Compassion 5 and a Person with Compassion 0.

So I am adding the rule to modify MDV treating defining virtues (3+) akin to Intimacies.

Any action that goes along with actions you must suceed Virtue Rolls on will be –1 MDV.

Any action that goes along with actions you must fail Virtue Rolls on will be +1 MDV.

Unlike Intimacy and Motivation, this Modifier is cumulitive with the Intimacy and Motivation Modifier.

So the total modifier to MDV of Virtue + Motivation/Intimacy is now +/-3.  2 from Motivation, 1 from Virtue.

And the total modifier to MDV of Virtue + Intimacy is now +/- 2.  1 from Virtue and 1 from Intimacy.

This uses the same threshold as defining virtues (e.g. Virtue of 3+). 

Those whose virtue are too low do not gain this effect.  The point of having no virtue is you have no strong personal values to violate.  Having 0 Virtue means you can be commanded to do anything – since the act does in no way strain your morality.
